i haven't worked in 5 years and in the past did the loyal employee thing. never again. get the most money as you can and if something better comes along. take it! i was a long term loyal employee and each time got whack based on economy, not on performance. and never tell them you were a stay-at-home-dad! the interview will go like this: i wish i could have been a stay at home dad.... so,what have you done in the past 5 years. no shit. several interviews all the same response.
