My wife saw a checkpoint while driving on the interstate just before Memorial day. Having never seen one before, she was (understandably) pretty disturbed. I told her those key words if she ever happens to get stopped. "AM I BEING DETAINED?"

thats right. no one has a right to ask you anything unless you are neing detained. police let you make your own trap.
