Actually from the looks of this (I have the top edge folded out a bit for strucure, I think these bags could probably hold over 7 gallons if filled all the way to the top. The one the pic I link is only half full after I emptied a 14L bag of soil into it.
Wallybags are great! While requiring frequent watering, the evaporative cooling provided by the porous material is literally the difference between a happy plant and a wilted or injured heat-stroke victim. The high temperature for today is predicted to reach 107f / 42c here in Aridzona. On days like this I need to bring in my plastic container plants, but can leave the Wallybag guys out all day without worry.
Sounds like they're the same size as the dollar store bags I use which are somewhere between 7 and 8 gallons. Agree with Geonerd too. I couldn't go back to plastic pots now.
The only thing I dislike about growing in bags so far is you can't carry more than one at a time. Early on in the season I move them around a lot from rain/wind and carrying 4 at once is so much faster..
