Pumpkin pancakes = fail. Too much puree :P

Spicey seeds sound awesome!

They usually are awesome... I'm really bummed that I didn't get to make them. I haven't tried pancakes, pumpkin and/or butternut squash make for good curries though. The puree I made is already full of shallots, thyme, and sage, so I have to stay savory. I'll probably make a spicy soup with it.

Butternut/any squash does make a wicked good curry. Stoked to try out some pumpkin biscuits, cornbread and a pancake redux. All while drinking different pumpkin beers XD

How'd the ravioli turn out?

Ravioli was great, I tried to be a bit healthy about it and made whole wheat pasta dough. I am not the biggest fan of whole wheat pasta but the filling and sauce were so great that it was hardly noticed. I even fried up some sage leaves to get them all crispy as an edible garnish. I have 4 different pumpkin beers in the house atm... Any favorites you have so far?

Double that on the whole wheat pasta.

Phillips Crooked Tooth is my current. Definitely doesn't have that synthetic pumpkin pie/spice flavour that is common, they're also one of my favourite brewers for their lack of additives and authentic/simple ingredients.

Et tu? Haven't had much beer from the states, but I've heard variety is blowing up down there.

Yeah, I am partial to Southern Tier's Pumking, but there are plenty of good ones here. I have a Kentucky Pumpkin Barrel Ale that is pretty impressive, light on the pumpkin flavor, but you taste the bourbon barrels and its 10% abv. :D
