It was still bow only for big game, so I was going for small game... squirrel and rabbit. First time in forever that I left empty handed. Saw two squireels, couldn't get a shot on either. There was hog sign everywhere, but luckily, I didn't see any. They said you can shoot hogs with whatever weapon you're carrying, but I didn't like my chances against a big boar with #6 shot.

Damn that sucks. Not surprised about all the hog sign though. I've heard they've been getting really thick at Sherburne.

Yep. We got stopped by two game wardens, and they both said the same thing. I would have shot one, had I seen it, but only loaded with #6 shot, I avoided thickets and downed trees where they'd typically hide. The ground was heavily covered with fern, so I couldn't really see. I want to be able to see them coming.

Don't blame you there at all. I wouldn't want to come across one unless adequately armed as well!

Add to that, we lose to The Hogs yesterday and the Bengals today. Not a good weekend.
