I do buy a number of individual songs on itunes. but my ipod is broken, and until I pay to fix or buy a new one, it wont connect to my computer to update. thus, I cant carry my new music with me to play in car. thus, I use CDs. Sometimes, I just like the feel of buying a really good album. the cover art is cool ect.
Hmmm. No CDs or DVDs. Only use Netflix or iTunes. Listen to modern music on LP. Pookie, do your friends, by chance, have well-kept beards and wear tight flannel shirts and bluejeans?
Nah. It's just the way it is in this town. You can't give CDs away. Bands don't even press them anymore. A lot of bands release on vinyl and do better. 7" for demo or single. Online for full album. A lot of major bands release vinyl.
admittedly the last music i 'purchased' was also Vinyl
(it was a wedding gift for someone who indeed does wear nothing but flannel shirts, and bluejeans, and keeps a well trimmed beard though)
lol
My youth- riding bikes w/ friends to Blockbuster to check out all the Horror vids we weren't supposed to look at! Seeing a new box on the shelves was so thrilling! Same with the cd/magazine store! Best of times!
I still buy DVDs, but only for 3D or collectors Editions. If I just want to watch a regular HD movie, I either rent or buy digitally through Amazon on the TV... And I grew up with 8 tracks, cassettes, and vinyl, too. I wouldn't go to BB if they were still open.
