he threatened to have his car towed. inquired about all the cameras we have around our place. and kept asking if we live here. i don't know all of it and dude said he was too in the moment to really recall everything this guy was saying. I noticed after looking at one of the footage on the cameras that the guy confronted dude in the street and not the sidewalk, i wonder if he was trying to avoid a clear shot of his face on camera.
And yeah, don't interact with the guy. If he comes out to confront again, just whip out the cell and call the police right then and there. But also move towards the house, don't remain in the street if that's where he starts. Call each other when you are coming and going, so the other can be ready to call the police, too.
Rental? Auction car? I knew a guy that didn't have a license. He would buy a car from the auction and drive it until he got pulled over. Maybe just ask him to please not park there and see where it goes. Don't let others rent space in your head.
