The Hot Pepper

Habanero sounds fun, and it's trendy, but yeah, I think most people just like the sound of it. lol

Mango-Hab is usually a pretty good flavor combo though. I usually don't like orange habs but they work well with the mango. I made a mango hab and ginger ice cream once... So good, need to do that again.

Don't get me wrong. I love the flavor of habs (mango-hab is a great combo), but I rarely run across something that actually showcases the flavor and/or heat.

http://imgur.com/gtPU6OX Tried this a week ago; was going to mention it, but forgot! Same experience– mango, but NO habanero detected (flavor or heat). I’ve had several cayenne containing kombucha’s that had discernible flavor & definite heat! I had hope & excitement when I saw this, but sadly was let down as to the hab aspects. Still tasty & healthy.

That's what I had Alchymystic! I mean it tasted fine, but no hab whatsoever. WF had that brand onsale so I grabbed a bunch of new flavors. Lavender Melon was a let down. Dragonfruit Lemongrass will probably be tried tomorrow. I need to get my brew going soon before I go broke on these teas! I just got my scoby in the mail last week to make Jun Tea, but it had popped open and the starter tea was all over everything. I have it brewing now to see if it can be salvaged with some AC...

Dragonfruit Lemongrass is the 2nd of 3 new flavors from Kevita. I liked it better than the Mango/Hab (3rd is the Citrus- read it's been the most liked/well received from tasters) Hope your Jun Tea turns out well. I was blissfully unaware of such (only knew of trad. kombucha) until you mentioned it earlier- now I want to start my own. Seems still widely unknown, a 'sacred secret', the 'champagne' of 'bucha! :)
