Last Dab Hotsauce n Pepper X

    Anyone know this pepper

I'm guessing off-pheno pods of habaneros, many of my habs get short like the first picture.   It has the shape of a variety people call pumpkin habanero, but I know it as Pitanga pepper (not even near as hot as a habanero, though): (picture from google)

Please I.D. -- Fake Carolina Reaper!?!?!

I once thought so as well.   a real reaper seed (or super hot in general) should be as hot as the pepper itself. so putting them on top of your tongue is a way to check

chinense/annuum pepper seeds are all identical in shape, thay only vary in size. you could put them in your mouth once received. (yeah I've done that)

    Any ideas?

when the pepper is ripe, there are more mature seeds. It will have mature seeds in green pods but only a fraction of the amount in a ripen pod     btw all my jalapeños were germinated from green pods

It's warming up here in the south, but it is still winter for us (LOL) and my pods are starting to set on some of my last year's plants I "overwintered" (aka left outside and didn't care at all) BTW, temperature is in celsius degrees

    seeds pods and seeds

I think most of us believe that the seed will or most likely will originate the pheno of the pod you collected it. I like to save seeds from the best looking pods
