    soil Sterilizing Soil

    I want to sterilize my soil but Im not sure how to do it. It is miracle grow potting soil with perlite and I was going to put it in the microwave, but I just read that heating perlite will release toxic chemicals in the soil. Is this true? How should I starilize this soil?
