    Same variety, look nothing alike

This must be what these peppers are going to ripen into. I will be doing my best to save some seeds and overwinter the plant, if I can find a spot to keep it in my house. Now I need my family to taste them and compare to all the others they've eaten.

    Same variety, look nothing alike

I knew if I saved even isolated seeds, they would be different than what I got this year. But with all my plants within a few feet of each other, I shouldn't end up with terribly mixed up peppers? Maybe I'll try to OW the plant and save some seeds and just see what happens next year. I need to...

    Same variety, look nothing alike

My last post, the peppers were turning green...they never actually went all green, and now they are switching to a red. I've been unsuccessful in isolating any buds and having them actually turn into peppers. I don't know if I'm simply doing it wrong, or if the plant is finicky.  This is...

    Same variety, look nothing alike

This plant has a ton of buds and little peppers on it. It might be the best producing plant I have...or I just pay more attention to it cause it's my favorite. That little pink bag is my way of isolating a bud. Hopefully it works so I can save seeds for next year and see what happens. I'll...

    Same variety, look nothing alike

I apologize if anyone finds these updates annoying, this is just a very convenient way for me to keep track of this plant. Apparently the peppers are going from purple to green!

    Same variety, look nothing alike

I figured I'd update again, this picture was 4 days after the previous pic. I have several other tiny peppers and I've decided to attempt to isolate a couple buds for seeds for next year to see what those plants produce.

    Same variety, look nothing alike

I got all of my seeds from White Hot Pepper. This one is just a fun little surprise. I'm excited to see if/what these change into.

    Same variety, look nothing alike

I figured I'd post a little update. This pepper is about a week old, you can see a little tiny one starting near my pinky finger as well. It's extremely dark purple, basically black.  https://i.imgur.com/mykU5TQ.jpg

    Same variety, look nothing alike

I don't mind what I get out of these plants, I've never grown or eaten (blasphemy I know) hot peppers. I grew them for fun and a surprise is extra fun for me! That makes sense about the crossing that you mentioned. I knew they weren't isolated plants by any means, I just never considered that...

    Same variety, look nothing alike

These plants are both Peach Bhut WM x Jonah. The purple plant is the only one out of the whole bag that came out different. They're from WHP, so I know it's a reputable place. Either this is a surprise from the hybrid or a rogue seed of another variety. Either way, I'm extremely excited to see...

    Hardening off help, please?

I definitely plan to have them planted within the next 2 weeks and in full sun, and hope for no more snow. I was under the impression that they can't be tossed directly into full sun without killing them. I asked about the boxes in case they're too close together to get the benefit of the sun...

    Hardening off help, please?

I'm behind on getting these guys hardened off..our last frost date is June 1, but I really wanted to start this 2 weeks ago and have been too busy. I finally got the plants outside for an hour today in the shade. I have them in boxes to make it easier for me to move them. Is this a problem...

    Hello from PA!

I'm from up in Mckean County, middle of nowhere PA.  I'm not sure how much I'll sell them for, I'm not sure what a "fair" price would be. I probably would not ship, only because I'm not entirely sure how to go about it.

    vendor whitehotpeppers

I placed 2 different orders back in February, received each in just days, both with freebies. My plants are beautiful! Any problems I've had with seeds not sprouting or discoloration of plants I know are 110% MY fault. I will absolutely order from WHP again next year. These plants are about...

    Hello from PA!
