capsaicin First Trinidad Scorpion and a Change in Direction

You only can handle a small amount fresh, unless you are insane (we have a few of those on this forum ;-) And it's deceiving! When you open a Ghost, that fruit makes you want to just "dive in." And, in sauce, salsa, flakes and dust, it is really a good mixer. A small amount can go a long way...

Kratky Method Malawi Peppadew Surviving Freezing Weather

I'm sure if the seeds come from South Africa, they likely are true genetic Peppadew strain. I don't know the source, but I possibly can find out. I know of some restrictions, but many people are confused on that - the only real restrictions are "sale" of the product as "Peppadew," which is...

Kratky Method Malawi Peppadew Surviving Freezing Weather

Mine have had no frost yet - 98 degrees in Tennessee! We have at least 6 or 7 more 90+ degree days. I was just saying that they "can" survive, if I have to wait that long (November) for them to get more grown & red.

So, Peach Moruga Scorpion? WOW! Those are beautimous!!!!   "Peach moruga. Delicious, but saving seeds from a true pheno pod. There are some perfect moruga shapes to come - this one is more of a reaper phenotype, which I also like :):) :):)"

    I don't even have a guess

Look like cross between Jalapeno and Habanero or even Jalapeno Ghost. Interesting.

Kratky Method Malawi Peppadew Surviving Freezing Weather

These supposed to be Pappadew. Really, Peppadew is a treatment given the round-ish peppers that originated in South Africa, but I think that's splitting hairs, and I choose to still call them Pappadew. These are growing sort of out of "the middle of branches" into very pretty round-ish; and got...

    Scorpion's?

The pictures I posted above are a very young Scorpion I picked; eventually, after I cut it for a small sliver (MASSIVELY HOT!), then it sat for about 3 days and started getting its orange-ish/reddish color. The other picture is a new pod just forming, before it fully matures are gets the...

    Scorpion's?

The Scorpions I have were started late Jan or early Feb, inside, in dark, warm simple plastic container from seeds. Took an old "food plastic container" and popped in some good Miracle Grow soil, about 30 seeds: 5 ghost plants, 5 scorpions, 5 alternate-variety ghost (sort of a bhut jolokia or...

    Scorpion's?

I have these. I believe they are Scorpion - not sure specific variety. Even taken off the vine green, they eventually turn orange and even red. Left on the vine long enough, supposedly turn red, so I am waiting.   But here are some of the Scorpions I have - most have the tell-tale stinger; some...
