I have about 7 pequin plants, and they all seem to grow/flower/fruit at a different pace. A few of them are producing pods now (about 2 cm long, standing up, dark greenish/purple color). These are the smaller plants. The biggest plant (4-5 ft) is only now producing tiny flowers. Same...
