How to make your own capsaicin cream?

Hi folks, I've been away a bit and had to think about this forum again today.   I've been ill (no worries, I'm OK and recovering), and the irony has it that one of the only medicins to work against the pain is... capsaicin.   It is used more and more for pain relief in neuropathy, and I wondered...

    Chili as ornamental plants

I know we mostly grow them for the pods, but some of these plants are truly wonderful to just look at. This is a 6 month old "Twilight" that I moved indoors a few weeks ago (pics taken yesterday) For some reason they refuse to stop producing fruits, so I'm still harvestng every few days...

    Frost: I'm confused

As we had a frost warning a few days ago, I moved all the plants I wanted to keep inside. I discarded some others, but kept a few plants outside to see how they would cope. (yes, very cruel :) ) The first night was only -1°C, the second one temps went down to -3°C. We are now 4 days later...

    harvesting Some harvesting was done

This is about one twentieth of the grapes I have to collect. And nature doesn't wait, so it will have to be done in the next few days. We already did most of the tomatoes earlier this year, and peppers are only now starting to ripe. Come on guys, grow! (Does it help when you talk to...

    Pequins are confusing me

I have about 7 pequin plants, and they all seem to grow/flower/fruit at a different pace. A few of them are producing pods now (about 2 cm long, standing up, dark greenish/purple color). These are the smaller plants. The biggest plant (4-5 ft) is only now producing tiny flowers. Same...

Not pepper pr0n I guess, but I'm happy!

Just a few pics from my first year "from seed". Hungarian wax and cherry bombs growing nicely, habaneros, carribean hots and pequins flowering. This is really fun.

    Small problem and a question

Most of my plants are doing fine, but two of them have been damaged by snails. They chewed off a bit of the stem. The plants are looking droopy, unless I water them. But giving them water every day might even be more problematic in the long run. I added a bit of soil to "hide" the...

    They are actually flowering!

Despite the mistakes made, I saw that some of the varieties actually start flowering. The Cherry Bombs and the Hungarian Wax seem to be the fastest growing and flowering. As I started out a month too late (and 2 months late for the pequins) I didn't expect to see a single pepper this year...

    Bottom leaves

I apologise if this has been asked a million times already, but I did do a search and didn't find an answer. On most of my plants (they are 3 months old now) the bottom two leaves fall off. The rest of the plants looks fine, it's just those two leaves. Is this a problem? I think I read...
