Hum, I used foxfarm ocean forest to start too... I don't believe they actually have a "seed starting" medium other than their light warrior hydro stuff. I could be wrong though. I say just stick with what works.

wow, sweet dave. when you chop em, do you cap the chopped parts with wax or something? i've been thinking about this and just wondered what the basic rules of thumb were to overwinterizationisming.

That is a beautiful sight San. Must be nice being near the water to keep your temps even during the winter months here. I'm about 10 miles inland and even that little distance from the water brings me temps around 5-7 degrees cooler during night. I'm planning on starting sometime in January...
