chinense Carolina Reaper confirmed the world's hottest pepper

So I will comment now to hopefully set things straight. As some things were not stated correctly. First of all the expedited fee or fast track fee is a few hundred dollars not  $10,000. The reason the amount of $10,000 was spent was money for repeated HPLC, genetic and Horticulture documentation...

chinense Trinidad Moruga Scorpion- Hottest possible?

I dont think the crosses are any hotter. I think the people who sell seeds hype them as being the next hottest and then people buy into it. As for Red Brain Strain maybe I will put up the money to have a lab do a few tests. Nobody else has and I am curious to see some numbers.

chinense Trinidad Moruga Scorpion- Hottest possible?

A few varieties of 7 Pots including Douglah were grown out same time in same field with Moruga and Trinidad Butch T. So all were in same conditions. People seem to forget that this was an 11 month study. Nobody knew what would score highest at CPI until study was done. People can talk and watch...

    Moruga Scorpion or hybrids?

Sorry I should have used the term "a habanero type" for Moruga Red and Moruga Yellow" They look like a smaller version of their Congo Peppers. I did not mean to downgrade them in any way by using the word plain.

    Moruga Scorpion or hybrids?

Dear Hot Pooper CARDI has a Landrace called Mrouga Red and Moruga Yellow. They are just plain habanero types. I am a personal friend of Neil and that is what he had on his site for about the last 4 years. I purchased my seeds in 2009 from Jukka who is a renowned pepper grower in Finland. Jukka...

    Promotion for HP22B

I have been slapped down in the past for even mentioning my business on here. Even if was in a reply to someone asking me something or a statement they made about my business. So I have watched since March Joe use this Hot Pepper Story to blatantly self promote over and over again. What am I...

    These scotch bonnets?

So just to let you all know what happened and I take full responsibility for it. There are a few regular varieties in the past two years I decided to purchase in bulk rather than grow out because they were reputable large seed companies. The varieties I purchased were the following White habs...

Trippa you are making something out of nothing. Myself and the Institute did not make up new names for marketing or to claim we have some new kind of pepper. It appears thats what you are trying to say here. I have acknowledged on so many blogs and posts that what was grown out by the Institute...

    Promotion for HP22B

I just find this hard to swallow. If they assembled a team 5 yrs ago then they cannot have a new variety. Because they would at least spend a few seasons crossing to get their potential hottest. Then upon finding that out go about making it stable. Unless of course there never was any crossing...
