Well, at least this message is short and to the point :-) 7 Pot are like hen's teeth, chances are if people have them they're not giving them away... yet.

When the "Bhut" is grown, then what?

Naga are generally smaller than habs though... Tony - http://nagaseeds.org

When the "Bhut" is grown, then what?

You don't have to use a whole pod in a meal, about 1/2 a pod is a good balance of heat and flavor in a meal for 2. Try it with chicken, ginger, garlic, onion and a little soy sauce. Just fry the finely chopped onion, garlic and ginger in some good olive oil until soft (not browned), add the...

    Dorset Naga or Naga Morich

I'm convinced that there's no difference at all apart from the name. I'll know for sure a little later as I'm one of a handfull of people growing them all side-by-side. Tony. http://nagaseeds.org

    Dorset Naga or Naga Morich

How many Morich pods to an ounce? OK, I just weighed some dried pods and the answer is about 120 dried Morich pods == 1 oz Let me tell you, this is a pile of pods! Unlike other chillies the Morich is very thin skinned, a dried pod weighs almost nothing (well 1/120th of an oz to be precise)...

    powder-flake Pod to Flake Conversion??

OK, I just weighed some dried pods and the answer is about 120 dried Morich pods == 1 oz Let me tell you, this is a pile of pods! Unlike other chillies the Morich is very thin skinned, a dried pod weighs almost nothing (well 1/120th of an oz to be precise) I'd be interested in the recipe that...

    chinense Bhut Jolokia

Hi Dwain, Good news, glad you're happy and that things are going great. You're obviously doing things right, as these seed are a little more difficult than some, but no more than other Chinense. People buy plants as they can't be bothered with the germination phase, less mess, fuss and time. I...

    Dorset Naga or Naga Morich

:-) No worries, I don't usually like to use these forums as an extended marketing scheme so it's easy not to make the connection. Have just sent you a PM. Tony.

    chinense Bhut Jolokia

As the US citizens that have bought them, check out the feedback pages on ebay. All our plant buyers are happy (seed, pod and sauce buyers are happy too). They make it just fine as long as they are packed properly, shipped priority mail and are in top condition before they go. 10-14 days is...

    Dorset Naga or Naga Morich

Hi Guy, The Scorpion Naga is my joke. As my text says, ALL these pods are from the same batch of Morich. I was making the point that just because it's a different shape it isn't a unique variety. (It does have a scorpion-like tail though). Mark and I have discussed naga at some length. There...

    hot-sauce Sauce or Paste?

What's the difference between a sauce and a paste? I've been calling the Mr. Naga Sauce both and it's clear it means 2 different things to some people. For me, paste comes in a tube, sauce has a more liquid consistency. Agree? Maybe I should call Mr. Naga as both... Tony.

Nagaseeds.org will also be offering plants once the season gets started (in addition to the seeds they already sell) just like last year. We only sell Naga and will have plenty of plants, in fact we have some ready now as 3inch seedlings for those who can't wait. See the plant pre-order...

    Dorset Naga or Naga Morich

It's true to say that most will look like the Morich, but there will be exceptions and (as the Scorpion shows) a few oddities. You wouldn't rush out and try to give each individual variant a different name though... Tony.

    Dorset Naga or Naga Morich

Oh, by the way, here is something I posted on the chillies galore forum that might be interesting, given the context... I'm coming down to think that all Naga are indeed the same. In a large enough batch of pods of Naga Morich (I use this name as this is the one I was introduced to by Mark...

As I said, quality seed counts for a lot ;-) We do test for viability to improve chances of success. We see 80%+ germination rates. Tony.

    Dorset Naga or Naga Morich

Thanks, still working on the site but it's getting there. The pods are great, all the heat, all the flavor and keep for ages. We only have Mr. Naga at the moment. Making sauce is bound in legislation in the UK... Tony.
