    seeds Seeds Needed

Hey all! I haven't posted in a long while. Everything is great in my life and I am looking to start some indoor plants inside my grow tent. I am looking for seeds, but unfortunately PepperLover is out of some varieties that I want, which is why I am turning to THP community for help!   I am...

Is a 300w LED enough to grow two pepper plants into fruiting?

My 300w GalaxyHydro LED is in my grow tent about 16-18 inches away from two of my plants that are in 1 gallon containers each. Since LED's typically put out 100 lumens per watt, the light puts out a total of 30,000 lumens. Since my grow tent is 2ft x 2.5ft, the total square footage of the grow...

    hydroponic Homemade Hydroponic Nutrients

Has anyone ever experimented with creating their own hydroponic nutrients? Half of what we pay for is just plastic bottling, transportation and water. I also don't want to ingest a bunch of synthetic fertilizer in my lettuce and pepper plants.   If I have to, I will purchase a $12 bottle of...

hydroponic Homemade Hydroponic Coffee Tin Kratky System (Khang Starr)

I'm totally new to hydroponics, and after watching a video from Khang Starr I decided to try out his homemade Kratky style hydroponic system out of a spare coffee tin and a small nursery cup container instead of a net pot. I haven't been able to leave the house lately due to being sick, so I...

Curious: What is the smallest pot size you can grow peppers in?

I'm very curious as to how small you can go with pepper plant container sizes. I know that peppers planted in larger pots will be more productive, but what is the bare minimum?   I seriously wonder if you transplanted a seedling, let's say a Bhut Jolokia, into a solo cup and left it there for...

fertilizer Over Fertilized or Nutrient Deficient?

This is my Trinidad Perfume plant grown under these conditions. The plant is fertilized with an organic 5-7-3 powder fertilizer and has been watered a couple times with a 1/4 - 1/2 strength dose of an organic 4-3-3 liquid fertilizer.   I believe this pot has some dolomite lime in it, although...

indoor A look inside my grow tent

I haven't posted in a while, but I'm growing two pepper plants inside my grow tent right now under a 300w GalaxyHydro Full Spectrum LED.   The two plants are 7 Pot White and Trinidad Perfume running on an 18/6 light cycle. I wish I had time to do a grow log, but I don't. Just figured I'd show...

indoor Growing indoors with T5HO. Anyone have any experience?

I would love to grow with MH or HPS or LED but T5HO is all I can muster right now. So, I'm trying to decide if my T5 will do well for my scenario of flowering 3 pepper plants at most.     The T5 is a 2ft 4 bulb fixture and it's doing great. Currently I have 3 6400K bulbs and one 3000K bulb just...

seeds Need Seeds - Any Extras You Could Send My Way?

Jeez, it's been a minute since I've been on THP. I took a break from plants in general, but next year I start college and want to pursue Horticulture, so I've been growing like crazy!   I'm looking for anyone who is generous enough to send me some seeds in the mail. I'll pay your shipping, I...

Good news for the Brazilian Starfish

This is my Brazilian Starfish pepper plant. The BS is my favorite pepper, and so I believe it deserved the best pot on my deck. I'm unsure about how large this pot is exactly, but the pot next to it (the black pot) is 3 gallons. Hopefully this guy will grow into a tree!!

    Dog ate my TMS Plant

This was my beautiful moruga scorpion plant, but my dumbass plucked all the dead bad looking leaves off the plant (little did I know it was getting sunburnt) Well it's finally making a strong comeback and my damn dog decided it would be cool to bite the whole top of the plant off. Now it is...

    Nitrogen Overdose Update

This is my Trinidad scorpion plant with nitrogen burn. I used too much fish emulsion I guess and the peps didn't really like it. I am curious however, COULD THIS BE FUNGUS GNAT DAMAGE? I have a lot of fungus gnats around my soul but I use neem and soap, or is this clearly a fert burn? Everyday...

    fertilizer Over fertilized. Ugh.

Here's some fert burn on my Trinidad moruga scorpion. I believe there is too much nitrogen or something I used in my fertilizer. I don't know if this plant received some osmocote, but my other plants did. A VERY VERY small amount of osmocote though. The rest is organic fertilizer. what do you...

    Garden Tour! MARYLAND

So before we get started, this post contains about 20 pictures. They're of ALL of my plants. Here's a little backstory: I live in Maryland (Zone 7) and I have a passion for horticulture. I love growing plants and food. I don't have land for growing so I do container gardening on my back deck...

    When to stop giving nitrogen?

Ever since feeding my plants with fish emulsion 5-1-1, they have taken off. I know that if you feed with nitrogen too often, you will get big beautiful plants with no fruit or flowers. When should I stop feeding with the fish? Also, what nutrient promotes flowering? Which promotes root growth...

Leaves curling on healthy brazilian starfish plant?

This is my brazilian starfish plant and as you can see, the leaves are perfectly green and healthy. The leaves are curling in though, and I don't know why. This guy is growing inside under a bright T5 light for like 14 hours a day every day with a heat pad under it and a fan blowing all day. Of...

Take a cheap $20 Plastic Rack, ziptie a 2 ft T5 Grow Light to the inside, place plants on top of stacked books, drape some tin foil and some blankets and towels, place a small desk fan, point it at the light and plants, and VOILA! Now you have a cheapo grow tent :)

    nutrients Plant Nute Deficiency?

All of my plants are growing under my T5 light and have been growing since February. None of them are getting much bigger, so I'd say my fertilizing game is not too god right now. What do you recommend? The cotyledons fell off of my bhut and scorpion peppers :(
