Algae on rockwool cubes

I'm getting algae on most of my seedlings in rockwool. Is this harmful? Will this subside as the plants get bigger and block the light getting to the cubes? What can i do to get rid of and prevent this?

You should be fine.

Yeah it normally doesn't hurt anything but if u want to stop it u need to block the light. I used pieces of white plastic with a slit cut into it for the stem to slide into for larger plants. I probably would just leave them since they are seedlings, you don't want to start having problems with damping off if u cover the cubes with the plastic like I do.

You can control it using 3% H2O2 at 1000 ppm in your water.
