Cayenne?

I've had this plant for about 5 years now and originally bought the seeds from a craft store (not your most reputable place  ). It was labelled cayenne, but looks different than most of the cayenne pictures that I have seen. They grow to be about 2-3" long, most straighter than this photo but still with a curl to them and ripen to red. Is it just a variation of one of the many cayenne varieties?

Yup... I'd say it's a Cayenne for sure. People have been growing them so long that there's been quite a bit of genetic drift... there must be hundreds if not thousands of varieties out there. The main thing is that you've kept it going for 5 years, so you must like it!     Cheers!

it looks Cayenne
Cayenne, just like any other famous pepper (i.e. jalapeno) there is endless umber of varieties breeders around the world develop and improve
