bottling Fastest ways to sanitize bottles??

Hi,

I’m getting ready to start production again soon but on a slightly larger scale. I toured a kitchen tonight and while it appears to have virtually everything I need, they didn’t have an automatic dishwasher.

So far I’ve been hand washing them but it takes forever. Does anybody have any tips on how to clean/sanitize 5oz woozy bottles more efficiently??

Thank you

When the bottles come out of the cardboard shipping box they are basically 'clean' but not sanitized.

Rinse if needed to remove dust, Put a bunch in a roasting pan, don't pack too tight, and bake in the oven. (details in the making hot sauce 101 thread). turn off oven and leave bottles in the oven until ready to use. or remove from oven and cover with a tea towel until ready to use.

I use a recycled dishwasher rack with the commercial triple sink. Fill a compartment or large pot with cool bleach water, dunk and slosh rinse the bottles, invert onto the dishwasher rack spokes. let dry overnight to allow the air to dissipate the bleach.

More info and suggestions in the above mentioned thread.

Good luck and Have Fun.
