FROST Question

I've got some late season plants still trying to ripen. My datils and Burkinas are halfway there and tepins have been green for weeks. The last couple of nights we've had frost warnings so I've been moving these last dozen plants into my shed at night. What happens if the plant does get attacked by frost? Will the frost damage the almost ripe pods as well or does it only kill the vegetation? I'm not too worried about the plants themselves but would like to save the pods.

If its a mild frost you shouldn't have to worry too much, my outdoor plants have been hit several times and they're still growing fairly well. Its the wide-spread heavy frosts that are killer and will leave your pods mushy
