I have 15 plants with a dozen or more peppers per plant of giant jalapenos. I was wondering, as this is the first year growing them, how big should the peppers be before I harvest. I have heard 4" is the norm, but should I wait until they begin to turn red before making a determination of when to harvest? Can anyone give me a definite answer as to how to judge when to harvest?
On another note, all of my habaneros are producing, the ghost peppers are in full swing with a few open flowers, my 7 pots are budding but no open flowers, and the Butch T plants have started opening... one flower is pollinated. I am very excited about this years yield. I owe alot to the seasoned growers on here for giving out tips and advice, so thank you all for being so generous and patient with us budding growers.
