Looks great man! I am thinkin about starting to hunt and I got a buddy that said he would let me tag along. Lookin forward to some cold and early mornings, lol.

The plants and pods look great man, really healthy. Great to see them putting out in October!
Matt, I think you would love it. Fantastic quiet time, get out there an hour before light, watch the sky, shooting stars, and the sun rise. Watching the wildlife is great, and filling the freezer is a bonus.

Great pics mon, don't you just love dem MoA roots, looks very similar to mine. Are you going to OW any of the MoAs?
Thanks Ramon. Yea I actually am. Just for the reason of having original genetics. I have one in a 7 gallon root pouch that will get OW'd. I also have them three that are inground down in TN. Hopefully gonna try to keep them alive all winter outside. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Awesome Jamison!

I love the pods pics, the trunk pics...can't beat it when they have "bark"!

Pulled a few plants for school project for the kids, teacher asked "how old are these? They have bark". :D

Now to my favorite part...the deer!  Congrats! Scoring a doe IMHO with a bow is harder than a buck, and that's said after 30 years of bowhunting. They rarely come by alone, too many dang eyes! I could go on...as you know!

Have a great weekend!
Thanks Scott! I know, I love when they look like that. All the stalks on my ingrounds are beastly like that. Love it! Thanks for the congrats on the doe. It seems I have a shot opportunity at a doe every time I go hunting. There are wayyyyy to many does on the farm there. There is sometimes 30 or so out in the field. Need to get rid of a bunch of em. The rut is on it's way up here. I been noticing tons of scrapes and lots of rubs. I have an awesome stand for that time of the year. I hunted it opening morning this year and haven't touched it since. After Halloween, that spot will get hunted hard, sit all day during the rut! Hope I smoke a big one this year!

Matt, buy a bow, start shooting, and go kill something! It's an awesome experience man. Glad to hear that! The cold and early mornings aren't that bad. Sitting out there before the sun comes up listening to the woods come to life is an experience in itself. Nothing knows your there and all the critters are acting just as usual as if you weren't even there. I just get nervous about bears. Hard to see a black bear before the sun comes up, and after it goes down. Yup, I can't believe these plants are still going strong in October. Its crazy to me. If you do end up getting a bow, send your arrows my way and I'll hook you up man! I'll put some badass wraps on and fletch em up real nice for ya!

Beautiful plants and pods, Jamison. They still look very healthy for this time of year :) Love the stalk porn, you gonna OW one of those?
Thanks man! I'm thinking I might OW a Primo and a Rennie this year. The genetics on the Primo are spot on, I'd hate to watch that one die.

You ain't kiddin brotha! Lots of time to think too. Sometimes my brain gets sooo flooded with thoughts while sitting in a stand, that I even forget that I'm hunting. I have ADD sooooo bad, lol.

Me I'm the other way, my brain just goes blank. Seems crazy but great chill time for me. Since I lost my lease I started working on making this place more comfortable for deer, heck we don't make money on cattle anyway. So far I get one every other year, been gun hunting, just not enough animals to pass up the one that shows.

I do get to hunt does on a buddies place after his hunters are done. Sure do miss hunting that 1,100 acre oat field! I had 6 or 7 stands on the south side of the field. It was close and I used to go 6 days a week..until gas went nuts..

Thats a ton of land to hunt. Makes the 150 we hunt sound small, lol. I'm lucky as hell to hunt where I do in Buffalo County, WI. It's prime time for deer. Most of the world records come out of that county. Just about everyone practices Quality Deer Management, and plant tons of food plots. Its a whitetail's dream around there. Super fertile farm land, lots of ground minerals, tons of food for them. This will be my last year hunting there unfortunately but there is tons of deer down south.

Digging those Primo's man! Have you got many unripe pods left on your plants that are a chance of ripening before the weather abandons you?
Yea them Primo's are really gnarly and bumpy. Oh, getting worried here, there are tons of pods on the plants yet and they are calling for frost middle of this week unfortunately. Might have to cover em up for a couple weeks. Def have to get some clones rooting soon (like tomorrow). Gonna be a nice break once said and done. Thanks for checking in man!

Well Operation Pods has come to an end for the 2013 season. Frost has came, and I have ripped out plants and saved 4. OW's this year include: 7Pot Orange, 7Pot Rennie, MoA Scotch Bonnet, and a Madballz 7 that is still in a #1 container that never got planted. I'd like to recap with some photos, reminisce if you will.

Sprouts, the beginning to an end.

Seedlings, spreading their wings.

Enjoy it now cause they grow so fast.

Oh Maui Purple, you are the beauty of the bunch!

Boy, you weren't joking when you say they grow fast!

My truck and I are making their home for the summer and fall.

Add the compost man! Get that soil workin for you!

Getting out into the real world. Such a dangerous scary place!

Remember to use Mykos with every transplanting children.

They seem to like it out there?!

Bump??

Thanks Ramon!

Lets mix some soil for the container plants.

Some of them found their new home! Sure is pretty!

Maui Purple, you really stand out darlin'!

Sorry girls, but you will be imprisoned in these containers for the rest of the year!

Hows about you girls? You ready yet? I think so!

Me and Momma need a break, let get drunk and go to a Zac Brown concert at beautiful Alpine Valley, here in WI!

Some more finding their way!

Shit, I have to go to North Dakota to pour concrete?!? Nobody does that up there?

Alright, back to business as usual. Ooo that burns so good!

BUMP???

Jamison,
Great update !
Although it scared me when I saw the tray of seedlings..lol, until I read the captions.
Good luck with your OW's..the new startup and the huge garden you'll be tilling!..nice

Last time I went to Alpine Valley was to see Clapton, Vaughan and Buddy...hadn't been back since...tough day after

Wearing your Green and chrome Yellow colors tonight ?

Nice recap Jamison!

Going out in style!

Next year will be so different in the warmer climate, you did so well up north you'll be taken aback in the new surrounding.

Have a good one!

Been away too long, Jamison!  Your grow turned out great for
having to stop and regroup hen you moved.  But I think the plants
look glad to be in their new home.  The Reapers and Primos look
awesome!

Have a good off-season, bro.  Looks like you will still be real busy!
