seeds Lazy Seedling

Ok so this little guy has been "sprouting" for at least 3 days now. As you can see his brothers & sisters are doing fine. I'm guessing I planted him a little to deep. Anyone know how I can get him standing??

Also I've heard that I would get leaf curl from over watering. Is this the leaf curl every one is talking about??

Thank you for helping a noob. :eh:

What variety of seed is it out of interest??

EDIT: Also if it is the same as the other 4 seedlings just pull it up , unless you need 5 plants instead of 4??

The 5 seedlings are Cayennes and the last one is a Sweet Banana. I would pull it up but I was going to give some of my pepper plant away to some co-workers so I'm trying to get as many as possible. The weird thing is the "lazy" seedling is very very green. Like a beautiful green. So I guess he's doing ok just chillin' till he feels the need to get up. I guess.

P.S. Hillbilly How did you post the photos on the forum? I tried and it wouldn't except my input.

I had one like this a week ago. It looked healthy except that it acted like it was in +20 gravity. It didn't last long and shrivelled up and died. Must be some sort of mutation.

edit: mine definitely wasn't too deep, it was right on the surface and I could see the root hairs from the initial root.

I've seen something similar happen when a seedling that was close to the hook stage was disturbed in the mix. I raised some germinated Tabasco seeds in a pot that were too deep. The weird hook happened after I had trouble orientated one of them correctly.

Funny thing is the lazy guy has some new leaves. Looks like he may stand up. I'll give him a couple more day.

I'm also excited to say that my Bhuts are now poppin' up. Can't wait to get a full grown one. :D

and TADA! pics!

looks to me as if the energy stored in the cotyledons was used up in root and stem growth without putting on the first set of "true" leaves...IMO it is useless to fool with this seedling any more...again, this is JMHO....

Ok here is the update on the little "lazy" guy. I think I'm going to ride it out and see what the little bugger does.

Bottem's up gents its Saturday.

Good luck with the little squirrly seedling but I wouldn't count on much.

Good luck with the Avocado tree too. I got one started like that a while back that's pushing four feet and very fat.

I'm not counting on too much from any of my seedlings this year seeing as how it's my first time and I'm still learning the basics. I'm still looking for a good organic fertilizer to feed my little ones. Any suggestions?

But my avocado once I buy my first place I'm claiming it with that guy. Gonna plant him right in the back yard and watch him take off. Mine is only about 4in right now but growing every day. :D
