Lemon Tree growing like a weed

Only five months old grown indoors under cfl bulbs. I live way up in northern Canada and lately its sprouting leaves like crazy. Is this normal?

When those things flower, the smell is heavenly.

I love the smell of lemons. I noticed recently that the leaves even give off a nice lemony scent.

Mine is growing like a weed too, but I had to take it indoors. It now has flowers, like it did this summer, and the blossoms do smell awesome! Keep doing whatever it is you are doing!

I have a kaffir lime too, and those leaves... Out of this world!

LOL I actually just bought a lemon at the grocery store for cooking and on a lark just stuck a seed in a jiffy pellet. Ten days later had a seedling. I'm shocked how big it got in such a short time. Even if it never produces a lemon its a great looking plant.
