lighting My first sprouts bhut jolokia and questions on lighting

As far as Edison socket bulbs go, I've found these to be some of the best-

The 5 watt bulbs on that page are excellent. I have never seen an Edison socket light constructed with low-powered LEDs put out enough light to grow decent plants. The blue ones on that page have proven to be phenomenal at starting from seeds.
Also, as far as LED lighting goes- when dealing with lights that are spectrum-specific, you will not perceive them to be 'that' bright, but that's because they are only emitting light in a very narrow spectrum. Stare at 'em long enough and it'll hurt like hell.

I still think this would work better but I'm glad your plants are doing better.

Have you used those led bulbs Tyler. I watched the video I'm using fluorescent daylight spectrum right now and looking for something with deeper spread to the lower canopy.

Update on bhut jolokias.....
Last month I transplanted all but one bhut jolokias. The all stoped growing and Thier leaves turned a brownish.
So I pulled them up today since my butch t's should sprout soon.
My remaining bhut jolokia look really good though.
