I have a recipe that calls for 10 Aji Panca chilis. I would like to substitute habaneros. but I am not familiar with Aji Pancas and I am not sure how much to use. How large are they? Thanks for your help.
They're about 4-5 inches long tapering from about 1 to 1.25 inches at the calyx down to a point. The flavor and heat level is quite a bit different than most habaneros though.
