seeds-germination Seed preparation?

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere (which it probably has, but for the life of me I can't find it) but I was wondering what, if anything needs to be done to seeds between removing from pod to planting / germination - is there need to dry? soak? or any other preparatory process?

Straight from the pod, I have placed them on a paper towel, in the kitchen, under a ceiling fan overnight and they have germinated quickly. They should still be fresh if just removed from the pod.
