drying-smoking smoked chilli and shelf life?

Hi, i have smoked my peppers. I smoke all types and the smoked flavor is really great. But what is shelf life on smoked peppers? Should i store them in a air tight container? I smoke them until they are dry, but they aren't 100% dry, i can bend some of them a little before they crack. I have them in the smoker for 6-7 hours.

If the peppers are dried they last a looong time

I smoke them for 1-2 hours then dehydrate the peppers and they are good to go !

They could last longer than you stored right. I have some powders 3 years old for personal use that look like I just dried them. The heat and flavor are all still present. 
 
 
I always suggest storing in glass for long term.

One of the reasons foods including chiles are smoked is to preserve them. If properly dried and smoked, chiles  will last longer than you do.

Vacuum packing helps a great deal.  Vacuum pack and O2 eaters will go even further.
