when to pick purria peppers?

Hello all, my purria's are red and have been for two weeks ;their not turning purple. When should I pick -em ?

I have growen Purira's for years they only go from yellowish white to orange to red,then I pick them.They will get blak spots on them before they start to change colors

They ripen red not purple. I've never seen black spots.

Puriras turn purple/black when they get the most sun; they ripen lipstick red.

hello all and thank you very much for the advice. Now I get to go outside and pick oh I'd say at least 300 purria's. this put's me behind on my dehydrator schedule ; but, what a problem to have .I've picked at least 1000 peppers from my 31 plants and expect to pick at least double or triple that amount more .It really has been a bumper crop LET IT BURNcRAYZy in Santa Barbara
