Some tasty ass shitznit

I made this excellent concoction last night. First I fried up some bacon and set it aside. Then used the remaining bacon fat to saute squid and brussel sprouts with just some black pepper and lemon juice. Then when everything was a minute away from being done put in some butter, scallion, and chopped up orange habs and crumbled the bacon in with everything. It was damn, damn good. Next time I think I'm going to do it with some asparagus either in lieu of or in addition to the brussel sprouts.

I highly recommend it to anyone that likes squid and bacon, but how could anyone not love bacon?

Sounds freaking awesome except for the sprouts. Ugh. My parents made me eat those as a punishment!

Bacon makes everything better!

Those who hate upon the brussel sprout haven't had them cooked correctly!
Ditto! I love 'em. I like to do a medley of slow roasted veggies in the oven with Brussels sprouts cut in half, rings of corn, beets, onions, garlic, olive oil, and sea salt... or something like that, it changes.

I like the sprouts, hate the squid....

Who the flock kinda starving moron decided anything WITH TENTACLES was edible?

MMM, that sounds good, just needs a little balsamic added.

Brussel sprouts and squid? w/ habs and bacon? Yes, that's badass. I think I'd like it. How the hell did you come up with it though?

Well the squid and bacon was an idea I got on some recipe site. The rest was just my own concoction. I've always liked them but have been really into brussell sprouts and asparagus lately.

The bacon fat really adds great flavor to everything. I highly recommend it, I've done it twice more since then, once with asparagus, and a few nights ago with slices of avocado very quickly breaded and deep fried with a balsamic reduction.
