This forum will be changing sometime this week to a different forum software. The current one is not the industry leader anymore (buggy and more buggy as time goes on) so I have decided to change. What does this mean for you? Not too much really, it will look similar and act similar, but there are a lot less bugs, and some cool neat features and functionality. I have been working on it on a test server getting it all ready. It looks much better! And so far I like the software.
We will gain a lot! We will not lose much. One thing we will lose is the social groups but that's okay.
A chat room is coming too! And some other stuff.
The forum will be down for a good part of the day, on the switch day. All user info will be imported, it's not like starting over. Posts, blogs, PMs, avatars, member page messages... all that!
After it goes live please give it a chance. A lot of people hate change but this is needed and I am trying to make it a lot better... you'll see!
Any problems that arise I will fix but there is no going back to the old software so please, no switch back requests.
