health whats wrong with my plants??

a streaker?? as in totally nude and running for its life across a field before being pounded by security?? lolz

i think ill start fresh with a new crop but id dearly like to save these ones...
they did give me quite a few pods over summer but since all the rain theyve just keeled over and said screw you...

The wood chip mulch can rob nitrogen and make the soil very acidic. Try a little bit of dolamite to sweeten it up and maybe even gypsum to break up the clay. If you ground is too clayey it will give your plants wet feet which they dont like. maybe you should build a couple of raised beds to help with drainage.

The old septic pit should only help your plants unless it hasnt decomposed.

ive noticed that the plant that sits in the middle of the septic pit is fine and is growing pods prolificly ... its the ones outside the tank that are suffering... definetly will try the dolomite and gypsum..

i think i might pot these sick little buggers and rework the garden soil for next season.

cheers

If the tips of the leaves are brown and becoming dry and brittle that's usually a sign of fertilizer burn.

I would do my best to save them too, I hate losing plants.

Good luck.
