How do I post a file to a topic

Hi, I was wondering, is there a way that I can post an open office file to a topic? I created a file of my 2012 container garden layout and wanted to post for feedback. Thanks!
 
The only approach I know of is to upload the file to a server somewhere, then post a link to it on this site.
