Help me identify this pepper. :)

I have some pickled peppers I really liked.
They're not so hot, but taste like pure happiness. :drooling:
They are referred as "Shifka", now I'm sure that's a name some idiot came up with, and not the actual name.
After a long search online, I finally found a picture of these BEFORE they were pickled.
I would like growing some, but have no idea what kind they are.
So if someone has a clue, please help me.

Now while I wait for an answer, I'll eat some more of these.

Pretty close to those in the picture, but not quite.
I know they have a "generic" look, but trust me... the taste is nothing like other peppers.

Thanks for the help, even though I don't think that those are the peppers, I'll look into it.

I don't know, maybe.
Those aren't my peppers, mine are pickled, and whole. :drooling:

If yours have been pickled, how can you be sure the flavor hasn't been altered?

It's a standard product around here, lots of companies sell it.
So it doesn't have any "special" addons for flavor, and I am planing on pickling them.

I guess I can try, so let the game begin! :violin:
Also I think I know someone who works at one of the companies, so I look into that too.

These are so good I'm willing to work hard to get some seeds.
Just wait, you'll see... you'll all see, muahahahahaha!!! :hell:

I mean that in the nicest possible way
Thanks, I guess. :scared:

Called them, but they put me on hold.
So I emailed them, and now I'm waiting for response.
(Why didn't I think of that before?)

they really look like banana peppers..my buddies peppers at the store are identical lol I showed him the post...grown by a local farmer....they look that close

Banana pepper is sort of a generic term for a lot of peppers, both sweet and hot around here. Look at some of the Hungarian Hot Wax-type peppers, they look just about like the sweet banana peppers.

I ate fresh hot wax peppers before, and they weren't that great.
The pickled ones I had were REALLY good, so how can this be?
I guess they are what they are, I can't find any pepper to fit the description.
