Thank you for the kudos Trip ^_^ I saw your grow list earlier and I like it, if you were to add anything else I would suggest a White Bhut Jolokia, it’s a definite wow in my book ... look below ^_^

Thank you for the comment Charles and I can see some resemblance but to me it could also look like a Naga Morrich. If the seed came from anyone else I might suspect a mix up but this is from da vault of the Master Greg (PIC 1) so I have no doubt unless he was to say otherwise. Picked my first ripe White Bhut Jolokia and had a chance to try it. Wow what a beautiful plant and pods. If you have never grown one I highly recommend it, not only is she beautiful and smexy but the taste is incredible. I had 3 people trying it including me, we all looked at each other and swore we recognized the taste to something we’ve tried before.

Without the picante (heat) the taste can be described similar to a clementin, tangerine or a sweet kumquat without any of the sour, rather a hint of sweetness. Possibly more like the kumquat rind which is actually the sweetest part. I wouldn’t bet my life on this description and I’ll have to eat a few more to put my finger on it but I must say I loved her \o/ … thanks brethren Greg (PIC 1) for da seed \o_

Edit: I now also taste a hint of Anise in this pepper and it's quickly becoming one of my favorites ^_^

Great looking pod Ramon and top knotch review. I have some white Bhut seeds, may have to stick em in the soil next season.

Yeah well I do have a limited amount of 'white fatalii' seeds which almost made my list not sure how white they are or how they compare with a white bhut... Maybe I should try to get some to pop as an option??

Haha! Couldn't have said it better! Everything looks great man. Wish I had the climate for pineapples. Good luck with the clone! And never knew ginger looked like that, reminds me of a cattail. Well kinda lol.

I grew the white fatalii last year, it was even more white then the 7 Pot White. Color of the fatalii was as white as the Bhut on the picture from Ramon. It was very tasty, I liked it a lot. Also saw some people growing a Fatalii Cream, looks pretty similar.

Dude, great upate! That White Bhut is probably the whitest white chile I've ever seen. Awesome to hear about the flavor. I have a few starting to ripen, but not there yet. What I missed was the heat level. How hot?

Thanks Jason and the taste is only my early description, I try to take notes on my lappy and hone them over time. This was only my first try with the White and I really liked it. I’ll update my personal notes over time in case I decide to write a review but no plans yet. I also like to get feedback from others tasting it at the same time or other growers like yourself, have you tried one and what’s your thoughts on taste? BTW I try to focus on taste more that how hot a pepper is but I try to relay heat a little as well.

Thanks Stefan, I will definitely grow this one again and if the rest of the pods have so few seeds I’m saving every one, this pod only had 10 seeds and I definately want to grow mas. Hope you have a great week ^_^

Thanks Matt, hope you were talking about the Chocolate Scorpion review as I do not have enough information on the White Bhut to review it yet and this was my first try ever. With the Chocolate I tried it various times on 3 different pods. I would definitely recommend growing this one for something unique. Hope you have a killa week brethren!

Taylor you can grow pineapples in pots and bring them in for winter, big draw back is that the first fruit from a top starter takes 2 to 3 years and who knows how much time would be added by bringing them in. If you can get your hands on a slip they only take 8 months. Clones seem to be doing fine, roots are continuing to grow and I’ll plant once they get a few more inches on them. The ginger you are use to using is the root, we harvest the root from these for cooking, what you saw in my pictures are the plants and flowers which are edible too.

Thanks Doc Brent, can you imagine a white powder in that beautiful array of powders you already have, dam that would be nice. I don't think I'll be powdering these any time soon, not enough pods, but I'll get there one day, hehehe. It’s hot but I wouldn’t call her a scorcher, might produce some more heat in the larger pods as this one was the smallest on the bush but first to ripen. I only have 5 pods left on what the squall left, I don’t doubt that there will be more soon as it’s flowering now but not to many. Hopefully one of the clones will produce some pods later this season. Thanks for commenting ^_^

Never tried a Red Bhut till today and I find the Red much, much hotter but it’s possible that this pod was not as hot as the others on da bush which are much larger ones. Thank you for the comment and have a great week brethren!

Chocolate Scorpion (seed PIC 1 Greg)

Bhut Jolokia Red (seed PIC 1 Greg)

First one I’ve ever tried so I’ll be adding to my notes over time like I’m doing with the White Bhut

Measured 3” long and ¾” wide
52 seeds VS the White which only had 10 seeds
This one was redish with tones of orance in it
Rough texture, little bumps and dents
When I cut it open I believe there was a fruit/vegetable perfume like sweetness that filled the air
Somewhat a strawberry or berry after taste, hard to pin point but I'd love to hear others taste opinions

Nice review of that Red Bhut. I can't believe you counted the seeds, lol! Nice. Lots of placenta and little oil puddles...must have been a hot one! Love the Chocolate Scorp, too! The harvests are picking up! Are those red ones on the right the JA Habs? They look great!

Regarding the white powders, one tray in the dehydrator currently has some White 7s, Peruvian White Habs, and a White Bhut.

Ramon, i haven't tried one of them yet. I was on the fence for adding them this season, but decided to see how other's grew out. The first white bhuts i saw online didn't turn white for people. So i was a bit apprehensive with them this year. After seeing yours and Doc's and coheed's.... I definitely would like to grow them next season, especially after your taste description!

Spot on with your berry/perfume description especially with the 'Assam' red bhuts Ramon. One of my absolute favourites for flavour/heat ratio. Nice work

I've found a picture of the last harvest of the season I made from the 7 Pod White and Fatalii White. You can clearly see the color difference and the fatalii is white as baby teeth

Awesome harvest, Ramon. Are you polishing those pods before you take a picture :lol:

Not a serious review, early thoughts so far so hopefully I’ll hone in on the taste a little better over time, the heat is definitely there. I counted the seeds to compare her to her white sister and yes some harvest have a few more peppers. Brent you are right those are the Jamaican Habs, thanks for da compliment on dem.

Very cool can’t wait to see it. It will be a long time before I can make any white powder but some day I will most definitely join the elite powder team headed by Doc Brent

Jason I guess if the seed source is good they should turn out correct but you know there’s always a chance of a “Not.” Looking over your grow now what every you decided to grow next season will be rocking as beautiful as your current crops and den some.

Rick thanks for the photog kudos, no serious rain yet .. a little here and there, mainly drizzles but I guess that’s better than the torrential down pours we had early last month.

Trippa thank you for the confirmation, it’s good to read that my taste buds aren’t dead yet, lolz. Like in the White Bhut I believe I taste other similarities of things we commonly eat but have not pinpointed them yet. I also agree with you assessment of flavor/heat ratio it is quite tasty and there’s no shortage of picante. Thanks again brethren ^_^
