container Finding Containers :)

Been checking craiglist whenever i get a chance to try and find any pots found a truckload of small containers of all sorts for 30$. Then i was starting to wonder what i was going to do for more large containers and came across a pile of free ones.

Depends on your growing needs I suppose.  You can easily get 100+ pods per season off many plants in 5-gallon buckets.
 
Plus, you can't beat FREE! :dance:   People around here are always looking for cheap containers.

just make sure you wash the used containers. you have no idea what was in them and what kind of problems was going on. there might be all kinds of problems lurking in them buckets.  a little water and bleach and you will be fine.  free rules :dance:
 
Yeah making sure to wash them out first is best. Plenty of people throwing pots out to find some.

Sorta on topic, but if anyone lives near a Big Lots store, they have those 17 gallon containers, with rope handles, for only $5.
 
I bought one the other day, the plastic is pretty rugged, it should last at least a few years.
 
It's not a gro-bag or nothing, but it's hard to argue with 17 gallons of volume.
 
Texas worked on some highway beautification projects around here several years ago and I'm still kicking myself for not picking up some of the 20 gal pots they had lying around from all the trees they planted.
