OBN is excited to bring the Urfa Biber (isot) pepper to our customers this season. Pronounced (OR-FA), this pepper comes from the Turkish region and has a smokey, raisin like flavor. These are large bell sized red peppers and although the heat is said to be between a jalapeno and cayenne, we have found it to be at least the heat of a cayenne but a bit more. For any sauce makers out there that would like some samples when ripe, feel free to contact us. We are very excited to be the main source in the USA for this wonderful and unique pepper.
