spirits Vodka Infusion

I just started a new infusion with 5 small Thai Chils in about a 5th of Vodka, mostly for hot shots and Bloody Marys.  I have had good luck with Vodka infusions, previously I made a Bacon infused Vodka.  Has anyone else ever made a pepper infusion before or any suggestions for recipes?

Bacon Infused Vodka: 1lb uncooked smoked bacon. Coat bacon in maple syrup and brown sugar.  Cook bacon on a rack in the oven (Not to crispy, just untill done) add cooked bacon strips to a 5th of Vodka, allow to infuse for about 5 days. Put vodka in the refrigerator over night, scoop off the fat. Then using coffee filters strain vodka untill clear, though it will be slightly bacon colored, about 6-8 times.   I use a mason jar for my infusions, it makes it easier to add the bacon.

There are pros here that do this all the time.

Basically, take any superhot, and stick it in the bottle for a couple weeks.

If using fresh pods, cut a slit in it to release the oils but will hold the seeds.

Dried pods work too, different favor tho.

Okay, I know this thread was OP a while back, but it was the only Vodka Infusion thread I could find, so lets attempt a thread resurrect here with this Pic of;
