Apple-Rhubarb-Yellow-Douglah Jam

4 cups Chopped Apples (chunks are perfect)
1 cup Rhubarb Chopped
2 cups sugar (i used organic cane sugar, white sugar works also)
4 teaspoons pectin (optional, i left it out)
1/2 cup water
3 Yellow Douglah peppers deseeded and chopped

Chop apples and rhubarb and place into pot with water and sugar.
Heat to boil and reduce to simmer for 20 mins.  Add pectin at this time if u want thicker jam, i left it out.  Cook for tens minutes with pectin.
Place in sterile canning jars and boil for 10-12 mins.

Interesting combination. Did you use tart or sweet apples?
Either way, it sounds very good.
i used both.  The apple tree the apples came from gave off both types.  You could use any type of apple and any type of rhubarb and super hot pepper.
