pests Aphids?

*SORRY! I PROBABLY AM REPEATING!*

The difference though, is that nothin is bothering my 36 pepper plants or 6 of my tomatoes.

The only affected plant is my 7th tomato. It is a purple variety.

It has tons of these little brownish bugs on it and the leaves are wilted. I sprayed it with a habanero, garlic and mild soap spray.

I guess I need some neem, but I thought it odd that it was so completely on this one plant when it is smack dab in the middle of other tomatoes and tons of peppers.

Thanks!

they gotta start somewhere Cheezy...I am now spot treating with safer soap for aphids...seems I kill them one place and they crop up another place...

try safer soap...I sure like it better than neem...not saying neem is no good...

I agree AJ. I've been promoting neem for 4 or 5 years now but have given up on it this year. I now prefer soap sprays and pyrethrum when I don't have ladybugs

Right this is a dumb question, I know the ladybirds will eat the Aphids but are Aphids clever and won't go on a plant with Ladybirds knowing they'll get eaten? In other words do Ladybirds prevent them or just eat them?

* cringes with embarrassment at her own question *

ladybugs move quite quickly around a plant when they're hunting and aphids aren't that fast so they get found and eaten
