condiment Grilled salsa

this recipe from my grandmother in juarez mexico
it's very simple and easy, she usually uses chile de arbol but i used roasted choc hab (i pre-roasted and blended)

2 roma tomato
1 garlic clove (2 if really small)
1 slice of onion
1 pepper of your choice
small handful of cilantro
tsp of knorr
2 swigs of soy sauce

1. put first 4 ingredients on pan/grill medium heat
2. turn them as they get charred
3. throw everything in blender / food processor
4. enjoy

Did your grandmother use dried chile de arbol? Rehydrated, or use dry? That photo sure looks like a lot more than 1 pepper.
yeah dried chile de arbol like you get in a big bag at mexican store. use 1 or two of the pods you put it on the grill too, it gets rehydrated in the processor.
