Small score

I was at home depot today and they had the veggie seeds out.  I checked the burpee rack to see
which Jalapeno's varieties they had..I always look for Biker Billy Hybrid, but they never, ever, have
it.  Well there it was.  I bought 2 packs.  They were 2.49 each.  Cheaper than their website, 4.99
each pack.

No way!! I have 2 seeds I usually have good luck with starting anuums so I'm hoping I get them both to pop. I'm gonna have to run by my home depot and try and pick a pack up. I also can never find them. But I most definitely will not pay 4.99 for them lol.

Is the Biker Billy Jalapeno different than a regular Jalapeno?if yes in what way is it different? Thanks in advance for any info?

To my understanding big n much hotter. I wish my local depot was gearing up for summer but that wont be for a few more months.

It's the hottest jalapeno out Florisa, I think about 10k scovilles. not much but good for those people that think poppers with regular jalapenos aren't hot enough

Very well, I have not updated the glog in a long time but I got those T5s I mentioned and they are FANTASTIC. Just waiting to get a chance to run to the store and buy some pro mix to transplant and I'm going to update it :)

That's exactly what I've been doing for the last five years Linda lol. No such luck, and I'm out of seeds now. I check every time I see a seedrack. Last time I found them was like '09. I shop at Lowes (it's closer), but I would think the Burpee seedrack is the same as HD. Now I've got a legit reason to go to Lowes. Thanks!

If you don't find them, let me know.  I can buy some more packs.

I wonder if it was the same Home Depot I bought mine from not too long ago, lol. I got excited too. I'm in Virginia Beach as well.

I went and bought some more packs.  Maybe I'll freeze them, if you can freeze pepper seeds.  I will plant a lot of them, plus I have
other Jalapeño varieties I will be planting.  Will be making lots of pepper jelly this year.  Will have to load up on the Certo.

They freeze in nature and grow fine. So many volunteers every season. :)

I just checked my stores, 5 types of Jals but not the BB.

Freezing will reduce germination .I prefer a Tupperware  container and kept in fridge .
I wish the tomato volunteers I get each season would get that message!

Checked the Burpee rack at Lowe's -- nada. HD is 75 miles round trip. Are BBs THAT good, to me? Things that make you go Hmmmm.......

My Early Jals were just as hot as the BB's I grew

Earlys got pretty good heat. How did they compare with size and flavor? I want to grow something bigger than earlys, but they are good jalapenos.
