? about selling pods grown in my home garden

Hello all you "TheHotPepper" people,

I have been searching on here and didn't find anything exactly telling me if I'm allowed to sell pods from my home garden.  I would be doing this for paying for my hot pepper addiction and all the stuff I bought to grow a whole lot of plants this year.

So I can offer FRB's of peppers on here?  It seems like I can.

I called the Pennsylvania dept of Agriculture and the person told me if I find anyone who is interested in buying my produce I can go ahead and sell them the produce.  They need to be the raw fresh pods.  When I asked about selling them in other states they told me I'd have to contact the FDA.  While looking on the FDA.gov site I couldn't find an exact statement telling me I can sell nationwide.  Do any of you know the answer or the exact place to look?

I am also setting up a pepper patch in Kentucky for a very good friend of mine.  If anyone from Kentucky can tell me about the regs there please do.

Thank you very much!

This is all part of my retirement job starting in 2018 when I become totally commercial.  But who knows I might have that started a little before that date.  This year and the next 2 being my training time.

yeah you only have to wory about food handling / license when you process the pods. Raw pods are fine, most people here i don't think report this to fda or income to irs if only selling a few boxes.
