I lived in Abilene a couple times over the years. Anyone been to Alfredo's off of South 14th? Alfredo's came up in a conversation today. They are REAL Mexican cuisine! Made by REAL Mexicans. I highly recommend their Alfredo's burrito if anyone goes there. Their hot sauce is pretty darn decent too, far from what any of us would consider hot, but the flavor is there. I have never had a bad meal at Alfredo's and the staff was always as polite as can be, despite the language barrier sometimes. Watch out for the old lady, She is a handful! Love her!
Also for those in the Texas area... Rosa's Tortilla Factory. Chain Mexican restaurant. I normally avoid chain restaurants, but for cheap, greasy goodness, I love Rosa's chili cheese enchiladas.
