Please Help ID

Hi All,

This was supposed to be a scotch bonnet. I grew thai chili, habaneros, cayenne, ghost, and several others including a scotch bonnet last year. I believe this pepper was mislabeled and I wonder what it is? Can you help ID it?  The scotch bonnet I grew last year was not bumpy like this and did not have the sharper tail on the end of the pepper.  I guess it could be a different variety but it has me wondering for sure.

I did top the pepper so the plant is very full and hard to photograph.

Thanks.

Well whatever it is it looks impressive .. sorry I can't be of help but did this season's seed come from last year's Scotch Bonnet or out of a fresh packet. If out of fresh packet mislabeled for sure .. the Superhot family will know for sure ... shame it's not a bonnet cross or could it be

I cut one of the peppers that did not have the tail look. I bisected it.  I used all the precautions in the unripe state with gloves.  Cutting this thing in half made my face sweat.  The smell was fruity but the heat!  I can only imagine how hot this thing is going to be when ripe.  I have a ghost pepper in the garden too so it will be interesting to compare them later in the summer.  I sacrificed this one because I figured it might give some expert a clue as to what this is.  The bonnet crossed had crossed my mind too...hmmm

Fruity/tropical like a habanero but substantially hotter. I am new to this but I always thought peppers get hotter as they ripen. If not, but is probably a hybrid scotch bonnet. If they do get hotter probably some cross breed. Flavor is outstanding though. Do they get hotter?
