The Count's Drunken Adventures In The Kitchen

I know we already have the drunken chef thread, but I'm going to start this anyway.  Almost anytime I snap a picture in the kitchen whisky is involved.  Don't let the beers with the plated pics fool you, I just crack one open to drink while eating since hot straight bourbon doesn't taste good with food to me.  The rest of the night is all WHISKY!!!  t didn't even know I had taken most of the pics I'm going to upload initially.  They date back to October 2015 or so and I just found them while uploading pics from the camera of a recent off-roading trip.

So lets start with Drunken Chicken Lo Mein…...

Next up is BBQ chicken, oven roasted potatoes and Ranch Style canned beans.

Tostados?  I seriously do not remember making or eating these!

Preferably nothing with gherkins ;)
Lol. We ate gherkins for years and years and just called them pickles, assuming they were a different flavored brine Granny used. She/we never called them gherkins. It want until I was in my mid 30s until I realized they werent just pickled cucumbers

He's from Texas.

We had chili dogs last night. The chili was SNFs recipe, plus a couple of small red jalapeños added in. The sausages were Boars Head beef w/ natural casings. They had lots of cheap mustard on the hollowed out buns and mexican blend cheese broiled onto the top of them.

I made hamburger steaks the other night. The meat patties just get worcestershire sauce and some McCormicks Cowboy Rub. There is a piece of bacon under the white American cheese thats melted on top and pan fried onions and jalapeños. Served with Ranch Styke beans and German boiled parsley potatoes. Sorry but I ate it all before getting another picture

You just brought back a childhood memory for me that I haven't thought of in years, poor man's steak.  I am going to have to make that next week now.  If you haven't heard of it look it up.  Basically, it is hamburger pressed into a baking dish and refrigerated overnight, cut into squares, then seared, and baked with cream of mushroom soup poured over it.  Soooo good.

Im gonna look into this. I have a family recipe for round steak and potatoes that gets cooked with cream of mushroom soup, and we love it.

I can't even say this is weird because this is so normal compared to that ranch pineapple fish stick velveeta thing... bwahahaha! TB raised the bar. Or, lowered it????

Hamburger steak is part of American life.

And Texans 'specially love it.

I love it.

An egg.

Rice.

It tasted like...

What they eat in heaven.

And I ate it....

With fresh pineapple slices on the side.

Now just imagine.

Melted swiss on the patty too!

Now you're eating supper with Jesus.
