Its chile powder day

Thai Reds in the dehydrator as we speak.

The 2 plants I have gave their all in the last couple days.
Probably only a dozen or so pods left on them yet to turn ripe but ill save them for chopping up fresh in some food.

great photo and harvest...those are going to make some spicy deep red powder...let us know the heat level of the powder...

Awesome harvest. I am looking forward to dehydrating some peppers myself. Actually just ordered one this morning. The Excalibur 2400. I have seen people mention Excalibur dehydrators on here before so I got the base model. Hope it's good. Can't wait to make some powder myself. Hope everything works out for you. Beware of floating particulate as many on this site have testified to and warned about.

Actually it came out more orange than red because I was too lazy to de-seed that many small peppers :)

Used magic bullet which, as you know is nicely sealed to prevent clouds of fine thai dust from making life hell.
As I AM able to learn from past mistakes, I did not immediately open it and take a big sniff :)

Still, I think its hotter this way since the menbranes dont get scraped out along with the seeds :)

AJ, its reallly hot. Not as hot as my Naga or Hab powders of course, but still very hot and REALLY flavorful.

Beautiful! It didn't seem to take you long to dehydrate them. It usually takes me at least 36 hours, 48 if all five trays are filled.

It was only 2 trays. Took about 18 hours in the dehydrator
on 120 F.
