Sugar Rush Peach pod test

Pod test of extra large Sugar Rush Peach. Maybe it's the Osmocote that grows some of these so weird? Didn't have much heat, but was very juicy and flavorful. I have a bunch more starting to turn ripe now.

is there enough flavor to warrant using them as a sauce base by themselves? and dropping in something else for heat?
or is it just sweetness?

I think they would be good in a sauce with aji fantasy and maybe a light fruit like peaches. Anyone ever make a pepper syrup? I could imagine that would be good.

+1 What D3 said. The closest I've ever come to a pepper syrup was unintentional, but with some strawberry jam that didn't set.

I'll be trying these pods cut into quarters....threaded onto wooden skewers in between chicken or prawns and thrown on the bbq grill.
