Spin-off of the quintessential red tepin. Same prolificacy, habit, and pinchy lip burn you get with the original.
Not a hybrid. A natural variant of the red. These came from 10 or 15 wild plants in Sonora.Datil said:Probably an hybrid but if it keeps the flavor of the landrace i like the wow factor on this one
Great shots ad usual!

I'm a bit skeptical.Pr0digal_son said:Not a hybrid. A natural variant of the red. These came from 10 or 15 wild plants in Sonora.
No need to apologize,Fab. These plants are far away in the mountains,I am not sure what else would be in that area to cross pollinate them. It is possible though. They look exactly like the reds,no intermediate traits you see with hybrids. It is worth growing for sure.Datil said:I'm a bit skeptical.
People is probably growing tepins from ages and now we suddenly found 'natural variations' more and more often. Chiltepin amarillo, cappuccino tepin and so on...
This does nor detract from your growing and photografic skills, it's beautiful. Sorry for the rant.
